Stephan rushed into the sitting room, ready to play the part of the brute, when he laid eyes on what had to be the most handsome man he'd ever seen. Creamy flesh more suited on a woman stretched smoothly along the young man's face. Pouty lips in pale pink curved decadently as he opened his mouth slightly. Features so blatantly aristocratic, yet soft and feminine as well formed his face. He was tall and slim, not quite as tall as Stephan's six and a half feet, but not far off of it. Lord Adam Bannister was exquisitely beautiful and in that moment, Stephan wanted him more than any other male he'd claimed.
"Your Grace?" the young man asked softly as his gaze traveled over his disheveled body. Suddenly, Stephan was angered that he hadn't taken a moment to change for his guest. He no longer wanted to run the man off; he wanted to seduce him in to staying forever.
Stephan ran a hand through his hair and pulled it off his shoulders as he stepped into the room. "Lord Bannister, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I apologize for my current state of undress, but I rushed down to meet you when I was told you were here. I didn't want to leave you waiting."
The young man glanced down Stephan's form and back up, his gaze locking on Stephan's. Stephan was fairly certain he saw desire there, but he wasn't positive. Yet the hint was enough to make his xxxx swell.
"I would've waited, no doubt. You shouldn't have rushed on my account," Lord Bannister said softly.
"I'm so very glad another Bannister will be taking ownership of Westmore once again. It is a beautiful estate and needs the hand of a loving owner." Stephan smiled. Lord Bannister was a beautiful man and needed the hand of a loving master, a master Stephan wanted to be. "I hear tell of an impending marriage?"
Stephan noted the slight grimace the man made. "Yes, in a month I shall wed Lady Amelia Vesta, and we will move into the estate. I came ahead to inspect the renovations and make sure all was well for our arrival."
An interesting pairing. Stephan wondered how much the young lord knew about his intended bride. "How long do you plan to stay?"
"Until the wedding."
A month. He had a month to seduce the man into his bed and teach him the ways of sexual torture. "You'll have to come for supper sometime. A month without social graces is much too long."

3 Because it's short.

They call them books but it's not. This is more like two short chapters but it is very good. Adam has a hidden longing and desire to be handled in a rough and erotic way by a man. He most certainly will receive it from the Duke. Even though I think this series together was a book, they're selling it in parts. I must know what happens between these two so I'm about to purchase the next book (short chapter) but no more broken books for me. So I'll steer clear from this author if this is how the books will be sold. Overall, great story.

Amateur Hour

The Duke's Plaything has an intriguing premise: a pampered young British lord, facing an arranged marriage, decides to sow a few last wild oats and seeks out a notorious Duke who, all too conveniently, lives right next door. Could have made for a fun romp among the British aristocracy---unfortunately the author is just not up to the task. The writing is flat and unengaging, and the sex scenes managed to be both awkward and dull. Bottom line, there's too much good erotic fiction out there to waste time or money on this amateurish piece.

I loved this book. The characters descriptions and lives were so real. You are in the story with them. Too bad Adam has to follow in histories footsteps and not be with . Stephan at all times
