New approach for EOR

This is a great book because its approach is based on statistics from different successful EOR projects around the world. It is not the classical academic method; it is real data from real projects which help you select the best EOR for your reservoir based on standard average reservoir properties. Above that, it goes from EOR selection, to prediction, to field application and finally to project surveillance. It is a great book with a different and excellent methodology.

David B. Madsen�is a research fellow at the Texas Archaeological Research Laboratory, the University of Texas at Austin; and an adjunct professor in the anthropology departments of both Texas A&M University and Texas State University. He is the author of Entering America: Northeast Asia and Beringia before the Last Glacial Maximum (University of Utah Press, 2004).

Dave N. Schmitt�is a research scientist at the Desert Research Institute Division of Earth and Ecosystem Sciences and adjunct lecturer at Southern Methodist University. He is coauthor (with David Madsen) of Buzz-Cut Dune and Fremont Foraging at the Margin of Horticulture, UUAP No. 124, and of Camels Back Cave, UUAP No. 125 (both University of Utah Press, 2005).

These are very useful for homework assignments. Each chapter has a 2-page Chapter Review Test. There is one Mid-Test covering chapters 1-3, and there is a Final Test covering Chapters 1-7. An Answer Key is also provided.

Spectrum Science Grade 6

This book provides a wide variety of topics for a general science instruction for my homeschooled sixth grader. It is well written, and well organized. The questions are easy to answer, a good thing for my student who doesn't love to write. I have always been pleased with the Spectrum series, and this book is no
different.

A Great Way to Learn General Science

I've bought all the Spectrum Science books from Grades 3 to 8 and love them all. They can be used as science comprehension books, as each lesson includes science vocabulary, a science reading passage and questions to check for understanding. This Grade 6 book contains seven chapters, with each chapter divided into ten lessons. The chapters cover Science as Inquiry, Physical Science, Life Science, Earth and Space Science, Science and Technology, Science in Personal and Social Perspectives and finally, the History and Nature of Science. There are plenty of coloured illustrations throughout the book, and answers to all exercises at the back. I live in Australia and there are no science books in our shops that are as good as this series, so I'm really glad I've discovered Spectrum Science on Amazon.

Geeta Devi hails from the Malwala family of late Raja Dharam Karan of Hyderabad, who came to the city with NizamulMulk, the founder of the state. She has conducted many food festivals in the cities of Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and New Delhi and has received accolades for her knowledge of Hyderabadi cuisine. She is also the author of the hugely successful DastarkhaneMoghlai: 101 Easy to Cook Hyderabadi Recipes.

Nothing Hyderabadi about it though!

The title was most appealing. Who is not interested in the absolutely mouthwatering dishes of Hyderabad - The Hyderabadi Cuisine. I was a bit disappointed finding it in huge variance from the way Hyderabadi food is made. The most famous thing is Hyderabadi Biryani, if it is made good makes your acids flow from a mile away its aroma pervades a town literally. It is so good. But if one would make it the way she says it would be difficult to achieve that result. Same with so many other recipes. If it is authentic Hyderabadi recipe I would love it. Wish somebody does a genuine true Hyderabadi cuisine book. But it must be done with the idea of preserving that great art not for making a fast buck with a book

Recipes are easy to follow and cook! I tried a number of meat curries and they were really good. Liked the vegetarian touch to non-veg versions of the recipes.

Karl Rosenkranz (1805 –1879) was a German philosopher. He followed Kant and Herbart as professor of philosophy in K�nigsberg; in 1848-49 he took part in the reform government in Berlin.
